Roary the Repair Lion says:

The conducting metal on ignition coils are prone to rusting due to the metal components required to produce a spark. The rusting can lead to the connection with the flywheel failing, resulting in a loss of spark. This is the part you will need to replace if this happens.

*Fitting Tip:

Put a business card between the flywheel magnet and the ignition coil while you are fitting it. This will not only set it at the correct distance from the flywheel but will also prevent the magnet from moving the Ignition Coil when you are tightening the bolts.

Once the bolts are tightened, remove the business card and test that the flywheel can move past the Ignition Coil without making a connection. Repeat fitting if it touches.
