This Air Filter Housing, made from tough plastic, is designed to fit tightly onto the carburetor, to remove any particles from the air that is pulled into the carburetor, protecting your engine.
These sometimes get broken when knocked. It is important to replace broken and cracked Air Filter Housings as otherwise it can allow damaging particles into your engine, causing severe damage and a large repair bill!
These particles can scratch the inside of the cylinder, score the piston, and damage the piston rings resulting in lack of compression and burning oil. (See the piston product description on the model page for testing techniques.)
