Description
Replacement Carburetor Float Needle
Roary the Repair Lion says:
A faulty carburetor float needle can cause problems such as your carburetor flooding, leaking fuel from the carburetor bowl, no fuel getting to the engine, or the engine running incorrectly.
This part can wear for a few reasons:
- Fuel flowing past the needle at high speed and at pressure, which eventually wears the needle.
- The locating grooves on the needle wear out.
- As the needle moves up and down it can bend, and the spring can wear.
- Fuel left in the carburetor during prolonged storage and Ethanol in the fuel has degraded the part.
