Replacement Oil Alert Sensor CDI
This part is prone to wearing out and can affect the running of the unit. Indications of this part wearing out are:
- engine not starting (no spark produced).
- engine not governing (uneven or over revving running pattern).
- engine runs for a short time then cuts out.
Roary the Repair Lion says:
It is not uncommon for this part to blow. If your engine is not starting, remove the yellow wire to the CDI and try to start it again. If it starts you need to replace the CDI.
Do not run the engine without the CDI for any length of time, as it cannot shutdown the engine if there is a problem with the oil pressure, which can result in damage to the engine.
