Replacement spring for recoil. Made of toughened metal.
Roary the Repair Lion says:
If your engine is hard to pull start, you need to reset your Valve Clearances.
This is required by all small engines until the engine is "broken in" and the piston and parts are settled into their positions. This is a simple job, and it is suggested you do this at the same time as you service the engine as the piston will leave metal shaving in your oil.
Reset your Valve Clearances settings to: (Instruction video below.)
- Intake: 0.015 inches OR 0.4 mm
- Exhaust: 0.015 inches OR 0.4 mm
(If not running correctly, open the exhaust to 0.020 inches OR 0.5 mm).
